Had a terrific dinner at Domo! Came here with a friend on a weekday night and it was a lovely experience. It's a small spot and the ambiance was homey and comfortable. Perfect place to catch up and hang out. I ordered the hamachi crudo and maguro sashimi. Both were absolutely delicious! The fish was incredibly fresh and the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend checking this place out for a nice casual dinner!
The sushi is solid and they have a good variety, but it's not my favorite spot to go in the city. The rolls were pretty good - the cucumber salad and salmon citron roll were sadly flavorless. The baked shrimp tempura roll was really good, though. It's a small and cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Service is great!
Came here last night for dinner and it's such a cute neighborhood spot in Hayes Valley! It's a small place so not a lot of seats, you put your name down and once a table opens up you can sit down. We had the warm sake, some rolls and nigiri and it was all pretty tasty! I loved how the seat we had faced the street too it had a cute ambiance to it! Would definitely come back if I was in the mood for sushi and nearby Hayes Valley.
Such a cute sushi spot. Intimate seating, great location, fresh sushi, and friendly service. Perfect for a date spot or to catch up with a friend. Seating is limited, so it might not be the best option if you're coming with a large group. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and there's typically a queue. You can put your name on the waiting list and walk around the charming neighborhood. They will call you once your table is ready. The sushi is always delicious and fresh! You can't go wrong with any of the special rolls (the black pearl is the best) or the sashimi.
My girlfriend and I came here around 530 on a Friday night. We were seated at a table facing out toward the street. It was beautiful and I gotta give credit to the environment as it was a cute place The food was just good. It was nothing incredible. Some of the sushi pieces had no rice and others had too much. The portions per price and time the quality were not worth it. Our bill totaled nearly 115 and we left hungry. I liked the place, but definitely would work on portion sizing
Got nice sushi with my buddies here! We got the Castro roll, Daddy Roll, and tekka tuna roll. I like how there are many types of sashimi in the Castro roll. Came with complementary hot tea. There's also outdoor seating! Down to come back to try more rolls.
Really really good sushi place! The service was fantastic, they were able to seat us right away which was nice. Just a heads up that the f restaurant is extremely small. Bunch of bar seating, 2 or 3 tables outside and that's about it. Overall the fish was fresh and I would return!
Solid spot for sushi in Hayes Valley. Very small. A group larger than two might have to eat outside. It was a cold night. But they do have heat lamps, that our helpful server happily turned on for us. And they have blankets :-) This is the first time I've been at this restaurant in a long time. And I think it's actually gotten better. The Black Pearl roll with seared scallops was delicious. The Hamachi Crudo was also very very tasty. We actually enjoyed all our dishes. Except the veggie roll had some odd flavor choices. Otherwise a very satisfying sushi, dinner in a quaint but friendly and inviting location.
Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Nice little spot, had two tables outside and seating inside that probably fits up to 10-12ish if I had to estimate. We were seated quickly and brought nice iced waters and menus. We ended up ordering 4 types of Nigiri as well as two rolls (Domo roll and the Black Pearl). We also ordered some wine. Everything was delicious, tasted fresh, and service was nice. Would definitely come back here and try more things.
EXCEPTIONAL Beautiful, thick, jewel-like slices of Toro sashimi Buttery slabs of Hamachi Spicy Tuna and Jalapeño Hamachi rolls DOMO has survived and thrived as long as I've been Yelping. UberEats driver said they were several drivers deep, waiting for order hand-off. Restaurant was packed. Superb.
